Infants: Awesome All Stars

In our Infant room we provide a caring and nurturing environment for each individual baby and their families. We know that birth to 12 months is a very important time in a child's life where they continually grow and learn each day. Our staff works daily with each baby to ensure they are developing at his/her own pace and reaching their individual goals. Our care focuses on stimulating each child to ensure they are introduced to each of the 5 developmental domains: gross motor, fine motor, sensory, language, and social. A daily sheet is sent home with each child for the parent with: diaper changes, eating times and amounts, and any updates or changes in your child's normal schedule.

The skills we strive to teach:

Gross Motor: controlling the head, sitting, crawling, and starting to walk

Fine Motor: holding a spoon, picking up a piece of cereal between their thumb and finger

Sensory: seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling

Language: starting to make sounds, learning some words, understanding what people say

Social: the ability to play with family members and other children

Our staff fosters each area by working on skills as the babies show signs of individual readiness. In addition to providing a stimulating environment, our staff continuously sanitizes the classroom to ensure the health of all of our children.

Our ratio for Infants is 2 caregivers to 8 children.
